| 11-11 Global Sit-Out |
Stand up...by Sitting Out!!!! One day This is a call to action, not a call to arms, to all who feel voiceless and powerless, caught in the system, or kept out. On 11/11/05 there will be a world-wide Sit-Out. The 11-11 global Sit-Out is one day about accountability, spearheaded by the average citizen. There is no leadership behind this. There is no group or organization behind this message other than the amazing amount of people in the world from all races, religions, and beliefs who feel the same frustration. We all feel this frustration but feel we have no voice or ability to do anything about it. This started with a thought created from the frustration of the many that was created by the few. In this increasingly smaller and more connected world, it is becoming more and more evident each day that those in government and business have no interest for the wellbeing of the common man and woman, the health of the planet, and the future of our free society. Forgotten are the poor, the elderly, the sick, the indigenous peoples, the worker, and the young. We have become invisible, but we do have a voice and it is in our actions every day. On this day our actions will be louder than words and our voice will be heard. On 11/11/05 just sit out and Pause for Peace. Pause for anything you believe in and feel you never have the time to accomplish. Stay home, spend time with family, friends, and loved ones, don’t drive anywhere, don’t buy anything, enjoy the silence and the peace of mind this pause will bring globally. |
| A World Lit by Energy Warfare |
What "Mission Accomplished" in reality achieved was an intractable quagmire of bloodletting and a nightmarish prospect of global conflict. And it may have started in Iraq. http://www.maavak.net/maavak/maavak051.html Quite a frightening scenario |

| Activism and the virtues |
My name is Jeff Goatcher, and I am conducting some research into the positive personality characteristics of political activists, for a Post-Graduate Diploma in psychology. After years working for the Bertrand Russell Peace Foundation, I felt that political activism gets a 'bad press', and that the comrades I worked with exceptionally good people. I am now taking a more objective look at this personal impression. If you could find the time to complete my questionnaire [about 10 minutes] that would be great. All responses will be both confidential and anonymous. If you want any more information, please email me at jeffrey.goatcher@ntu.ac.uk. the questionnaire can be found through the following link... http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=622143779393 Thanks |
