by the ILO says that 36.3m people of working age live with HIV/AIDS, most in sub-Saharan Africa. HIV/AIDS killed 3.5m people in 2005. The report predicts a huge toll on African economies and young peoples' live unless retroviral drugs are made more available. Meanwhile Kofi Annan urged more open discussion of HIV/Aids, and demonstrations in India called for more access to new drugs.
