Sierra Leone: APC Back in power

In the first presidential elections since a UN Peacekeeping force left the country nearly 2 years ago, the All Peoples Congress (APC) are back in power. Prior to a coup which ousted them in 1992, the APC had spent over a decade in power having banned all opposition. The Sierra Leone Action Network on Small Arms (SLANSA) deployed 35 local and international election non-violence activists and election observers across Sierra Leone to spread the message of "Ballot Not Bullets" during the election.
