Join the protest about BAE corruption and the government’s attempt at a cover-up outside their AGM on 7th May from 9.30. The Campaign against the Arms Trade will be posting token share holders to participate in the meeting itself, asking questions designed to hold the company to account.

Reopen SFO inquiry immediately
Not only should BAE systems be held to account, but separately also the Government (which Robin Cook reported has never in history taken a decision which is uncomfortable for them). It is disgusting that they have reacted to a strongly-worded ruling about the failure to investigate and prosecute over Al Yamamah, not by trying to put their house in order, but by proposing more powers to put the Government and BAE above the law.

Giving power to the Attorney General to stop an investigation is a recipe for corruption. We should at an absolute minimum be aware of the difference between “national security” and “national interest”, the latter which can be interpreted to be identical to those of BAE.
