Campaign organiser/lobbyist

BAFS was launched over three years ago to promote solidarity with the Ahwazi Arab people, who number four million. Ahwazi Arabs are indigenous to one of the Middle East’s most geopolitically sensitive regions, which contains most of Iran’s oil reserves.

As BAFS’s link between the Ahwazi Arab community and policy-makers in Westminster and Brussels, you will have a role in shaping the destiny of a highly disadvantaged and oppressed yet largely unknown ethnic group at the heart of the Middle East. We are looking with someone who will develop and build upon our successes in lobbying and advocacy work by contacting MPs and organising awareness-raising initiatives.

Due to our limited financial resources, we are unable to offer any remuneration. We hope that greater awareness of the importance of the Ahwazi Arab issue will increase opportunities for donor funding.
