I don't know if you're able to help

I recently removed Norton antivirus from my computer as I really didn't have faith in it, but had good reviews of the avast software from Lavasoft. So I removed norton and installed avast. As soon as avast was running, it detected the perfiler trojan and the redlof viruses. Now after these have been sorted I am unable to access my emails through Outlook Express and have to go to a webmail account. As soon as I try to load outlook express it hangs and then comes up error and times out. Any ideas?

Re: Problems after removing Norton

Problem sorted, I had to reinstall Norton, switch off the mail tags then reinstall avast.

Another problem with uninstalling Norton firewall on XP can be resolved by stopping the Norton & Symantec Services in the Windows Control Panel.
