Hey!
Calling all environmental and social activists! We are a grassroots campaign in Bristol demanding corporate accountability and the re-establishment of council control of our 'publc' bus service!
We are gaining monentum through public support and awareness and have recently held a public rally with guest speakers from previous campaigns and a successful sister campaign in Sheffield.
We hope to involve as many representatives from a wide selection of campaigns and interest groups as possible. We are all affected by the privitization of our public space, the bus service is just one example of services run for profit not public interest. We aim to put pressure on council members - local and national- and private bus companies.
We need the public to come out on SATURDAY 22ND APRIL and make some noise! So if you live near or in Bristol please join us! Assembely point is Castle Park, across from the Galleries, behind Broadmead.
With our local elections coming up this May, it is an important oppertunity to raise awareness and put pressure on those running for office!
For more info of our aims and just generally about us you can go to www.reclaimthebuses.org or email us on the above address.
They're our buses. It's our space. We want them back! Join us.
