Re: Logs: "Visits" and "Sites"

Well I think you are right in your general understanding of the terms, and in most cases the visits should be less than the sites, and as you observe it does even out over time.
The reason why it isn't always the case I think must be because visits only count requests for 'pages' whereas sites can include requests solely for graphics or other files on the site. If outside sites link to a document for download for example, this might explain the inconsistancies, as it would not be counted as a visit.
