London Iranian Film Festival is the first annual festival to present Iranian cinema in the UK. Film festivals that honor Iranian films are held across the globe and now the time has finally arrived for an Iranian Film festival to have a permanent home in the United Kingdom.

As part of LGBT History Month Housmans welcome guests from the writing co-op, Gay Authors' Workshop, and its allied publisher, Paradise Press, who will be providing an introduction to the project, followed by author readings from two new titles adding to the impressive list of over thirty titles, novels, short stories, memoirs and poetry.

The launch titles are A Life's Tales, a memoir by Joe Hucknall, and Eros at Large, short stories.

Buddhism in the Modern World, Lama Ole Nydahl

Lama Ole Nydahl is one of the few Westerners fully qualified as a lama and meditation teacher in the Karma Kagyu Buddhist tradition. In 1969, Ole Nydahl and his wife Hannah became the first Western students of H.H. the 16th Karmapa. After several years of study and intensive meditation training with the highest Kagyu lamas he began teaching Buddhism at the request of the 16th Karmapa. For nearly 40 years Lama Ole has transmitted the blessing of the Kagyu lineage, constantly travelling and teaching worldwide. His depth of knowledge and dynamic teachings inspire thousands of people.
