Service	Description
Domain names	A domain name is a unique name that identifies you or your organisation on the Internet. It is registered in the form of yourname.co.uk or yourname.org.uk, yourname.net or yourname.com or yourname.org. You choose which form you prefer depending on the nature of your organisation or content. The domain can then be used for your e-mail adresses e.g username@yourname.org.uk and web site URLs e.g www.yourname.org.uk depending on the package you have chosen. All of our web hosting options (except Home/Activist membership, which includes a .gn.apc.org subdomain) come with a domain name registration and include annual renewal.

Domain Registry of America scam	We have had several reports from GreenNet members about "phoney bills" relating to domain names they have registered through us. If you have received a letter in the post from "Domain Registry of America" (DRoA) or "Domain Renewal Group" urging you to pay them for renewing your domain name, please ignore it. It's a scam, so don't worry about your domain and do not send them any money.
