An event to explore, explain and campaign against the Communications Data Bill
Headline speaker: Cory Doctorow
Saturday 24 November
2pm - 6pm
Cory Doctorow, ORG Advisory Council member, award-winning science fiction writer and co-editor of the popular weblog Boing Boing, will be giving the headline speech exploring and explaining the Bill. There will be further talks from key civil liberties groups: Open Rights Group, Big Brother Watch, The Foundation for Information Policy Research, Liberty and Index on Censorship, plus in depth presentations on the technical aspects of the Bill from top experts. The speeches will be followed by workshops and group discussions to plan our co-ordinated campaign actions, like mass lobbying of MPs, unite our campaigns and bring the Snoopers’ Charter down.
