Key speaker: Shukri Harir Ismail. Shukri, a Somaliland citizen and now a Health Poverty Action staff member in East Africa, will give an insightful account of life at the moment for women in Somalia, and tell her personal story of perilous escape with her children in 1988 from the city of Hargeisa to a refugee camp in Ethiopia.

You will also be able to chat to Health Poverty Action staff and trustees over drinks and nibbles at our offices at this special reception for our supporters.
