Green Sundays is a free event bringing together the ecologically curious to explore environmental issues through the arts. Each month Green Sundays explores different aspects of environmental debate - from activism to climate change to food - in a relaxed and enjoyable way through live music, debate and film. The October event is hosted in collaboration with the London Islamic Network for the Environment(LINE). Programme 2.30pm onwards in bar/cafe- Delicious food and drink products available from Mighty Veg Delights & Henna Hand Painting 3pm- 4.30pm Theatre of the Oppressed: Image Theatre Workshop led by Elizabeth Chawdhary of LINE. (Please email info@greensundays to book a place) Theatre of the Oppressed is an interactive form of theatre in which role-play, storytelling and improvisation are used to enable participants to explore, analyse and transform oppressive situations and relationships. The workshop will focus on issues surrounding social ecology and the local environment. No acting experience is required, no-one is compelled to do anything they do not want to and everyone has the choice to step back from participating at any moment. 4.45pm Poetic Pilgrimage, the Muslim, female Hip-Hop & Spoken Word duo 5:45pm Forum Theatre An interactive form of theatre where the audience helps to shape the drama. Participation in the workshop is not required to join in. 6:45pm Film screening of Why Are We All In Debt? 26mins, Written and presented by Tarek El Diwany
