This event, part of the Global Institutes Forum series organised by the Brazil, China and India Institutes at King’s, will examine the issues of food and hunger from the vantage point of these three major emerging economies. Providing a holistic perspective on the issue of food security, the panel will look at questions ranging from agricultural production and sustainability, domestic and global food markets, and
the extent to which government interventions intended to prevent hunger among vulnerable populations have been successful. The panel will consider the particular contributions of Brazil, China and India to the
situation of food security at the global level, as well as the domestic context within each country.
