How to use ICT with your students to plan, set-up and run an enterprise that allows them to learn about business, cooperatives, sustainability and Fairtrade. They will create a
business plan, including a SWOT analysis, and a budget, as well as designs for a product. Part of International Year of Co-operatives. The workshop leader is Michael Newman,
who has worked with the East of England Co-op Education Committee.

Farewell to Justice? The progressive loss of Civil Liberties in the UK

Since 2001, the civil liberties of British citizens have been progressively eroded. Among other examples, the Extradition Act (2003) allows individuals to be extradited to another country for actions that are not criminal in the UK, and without prima facie evidence of a case against them being presented in a British court. This Act can result in long periods of detention without charge (British citizens have been detained for up to eight years).
