As part of the East End Wildlife Project we will be running a practical workshop on cultivating wild mushrooms on Sunday 6th May from 11.00 am-2.00 pm.  On the day we will be using mushroom spawn to try and encourage a number of varieties of wildmushroom to grow on the farm including Shaggy Ink Caps, Wood Blewits and Wine Cap Mushrooms.  To get involved just show up on the day.

Farewell to Justice? The progressive loss of Civil Liberties in the UK

Since 2001, the civil liberties of British citizens have been progressively eroded. Among other examples, the Extradition Act (2003) allows individuals to be extradited to another country for actions that are not criminal in the UK, and without prima facie evidence of a case against them being presented in a British court. This Act can result in long periods of detention without charge (British citizens have been detained for up to eight years).
