Rafeef Ziadah - Palestinian human rights activist, academic and performance poet. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the Palestinian Academic and Cultural Boycott Initiative (PACBI).

Ben White - Writer, freelance journalist and activist. He is the author of 'Israeli Apartheid: A Beginner's Guide' (2009) and 'Palestinians in Israel: Segregation, Discrimination and Democracy' (2012). He has been visiting Palestine since 2003, and his articles have appeared in a variety of publications.

Farewell to Justice? The progressive loss of Civil Liberties in the UK

Since 2001, the civil liberties of British citizens have been progressively eroded. Among other examples, the Extradition Act (2003) allows individuals to be extradited to another country for actions that are not criminal in the UK, and without prima facie evidence of a case against them being presented in a British court. This Act can result in long periods of detention without charge (British citizens have been detained for up to eight years).
