A twilight session to explore how to capture student voices through digital video. Teachers will be shown examples of student voice on the East End Talking website, and then be given the opportunity to create their own short video clips with hands on experience of digital video kits. Teachers will leave with a step by step booklet, as well as free loan of a digital video media kit for half a term. Schools may also choose to have an experienced ICT teacher work with them.

Farewell to Justice? The progressive loss of Civil Liberties in the UK

Since 2001, the civil liberties of British citizens have been progressively eroded. Among other examples, the Extradition Act (2003) allows individuals to be extradited to another country for actions that are not criminal in the UK, and without prima facie evidence of a case against them being presented in a British court. This Act can result in long periods of detention without charge (British citizens have been detained for up to eight years).
