Shape are happy to invite you to our FREE Articulate Conference, now combined for Southwark and Lambeth, on Wednesday 9th November, at the Unicorn Theatre, 9am-2pm. (Please note 7th November has been cancelled.)

Articulate is for HR, Access, Policy and Disability professionals and will facilitate conversation between young learning disabled people and employers. It aims to look at practical ways to support the employment process, through workshops, information sessions, panel discussions, performances and access assessments.

Farewell to Justice? The progressive loss of Civil Liberties in the UK

Since 2001, the civil liberties of British citizens have been progressively eroded. Among other examples, the Extradition Act (2003) allows individuals to be extradited to another country for actions that are not criminal in the UK, and without prima facie evidence of a case against them being presented in a British court. This Act can result in long periods of detention without charge (British citizens have been detained for up to eight years).
