Animation skills for your classroom

The practical session will involve creating your own animation using your own story based a global issue. You will learn how to plan and build stories and characters, by the end; you will have produce and edit the final animation.

Teachers to learn how to prepare their students to plan and develop storyboards and create backdrops and characters from their stories and to use ICT to animate and edit the final production. Teachers will have support materials to take away.

Farewell to Justice? The progressive loss of Civil Liberties in the UK

Since 2001, the civil liberties of British citizens have been progressively eroded. Among other examples, the Extradition Act (2003) allows individuals to be extradited to another country for actions that are not criminal in the UK, and without prima facie evidence of a case against them being presented in a British court. This Act can result in long periods of detention without charge (British citizens have been detained for up to eight years).
