The EU PVSEC is the largest international Conference for Photovoltaic Research and Technologies, Industries and Applications, and at the same time a leading international PV Industry Exhibition. This global event uniquely combines scientific, technological industrial and market issues from the perspective of research and development, industry, finance and politics. It is considered to be the world’s leading science-to-science, business-to-business and science-to-industry platform for the global PV solar sector.
The Technical Programme is coordinated by the European Commission, DG Joint Research Centre.

Farewell to Justice? The progressive loss of Civil Liberties in the UK

Since 2001, the civil liberties of British citizens have been progressively eroded. Among other examples, the Extradition Act (2003) allows individuals to be extradited to another country for actions that are not criminal in the UK, and without prima facie evidence of a case against them being presented in a British court. This Act can result in long periods of detention without charge (British citizens have been detained for up to eight years).
