Womankind Worldwide and GADN would like to invite you to a presentation and a discussion on What works at the community level to tackle violence against women and girls. This session will be an opportunity to hear directly from Womankind’s partners in Zimbabwe and Ethiopia about the innovative approaches they are using at the community level to tackle the traditions, beliefs, norms and practices that perpetuate and condone VAWG. Amongst them are the discovery of over thirty new species of mammal, being honoured Australian of the Year in 2007, co-founding and chairing the Copenhagen Climate Council, and selling over a million copies of his book The Weather Makers, one of the most influential texts in our understanding of global warming.
