Every year at Zimfest time, thousands get together to celebrate their love for Zimbabwe. In defiance of losing what it means to be Zimbabwean, every year we make Zimfest bigger and better. This year there’s a kaleidoscopic program of Zimbabwean music, sport, food and culture, headlined by the Godfather of Zimbabwe Music…Oliver Mutukudzi.
It is important to remember that ALL Zimfest proceeds are ploughed back into projects that support the youth of Zimbabwe and victims of the current situation, via WEZIMBABWE, the charity that organises Zimfest.
WEZIMBABWE’s Phil Chikwiramakomo said: “More than ever, our help is needed at home. The Zimfest program and facilities this year have been given even more depth, excitement and originality, but for Tuku to join us to play is a dream come true!!”
